To reach us for urgent medical needs, day or night call

We have partnered with “Positive Reinforcement Nursing” to be available to our patients 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. When our regular office hours end for the day we forward our phones to “Positive Reinforcement Nursing”. You may be asked to leave a message during busy times, however, they will call you back within one hour.

To leave an urgent message for an after-hours nurse click here and a nurse will return your call within the hour.

Our after-hours triage service has all of our protocols to know exactly how to care for our patients.

Please note that if you call our after-hours service there may be a $15.00 fee associated with your call.  There is no fee if you bring your child into the practice within 24 hours of calling the service OR if your child is UNDER 2 months of age.

If your child needs urgent treatment after hours, our highly trained nurses will help you determine if your child needs to be seen at urgent care or an emergency department.

If emergency care is needed, we recommend one of the three hospitals in our area that specialize in the treatment of children:

WakeMed Raleigh’s Children’s ED

UNC Children’s ED

Duke Emergency Room

If urgent care is needed we recommend:

PM Pediatric Urgent Care Usual hours are Monday-Saturday noon to midnight, Sundays 10 am to midnight.

UNC Urgent Care (for children 4 months and older only)

For urgent orthopedic care for breaks, sprains, strains, and sports injuries:

EmergeOrtho/AccessOrtho Urgent Care Apex location is usually open 9 am-9 pm
